Foundation Progress

Some really good progress made over the last several weeks!

The foundation walls and foundation footers have been constructed and are complete. Yesterday, the concrete contractor was making last preparations for the anticipated pouring of the concrete slab this Wed. Today, there will be an inspection of the foundation walls and footers which is needed for the final ok to go ahead with the slab pour tomorrow. Once the slab is poured, it will be almost another week for it to settle before framing can begin! We believe things will really start to speed up from there.

We have been back and forth on options for our cabinet selections. The first proposal seemed abnormally high for what we are in need of, especially when we compare it to what was spent on the previous house. Over the last 3 weeks we have met with 4 additional cabinet providers. We have found some awesome colors; a big different from what we thought we would've picked out. Certainly brings more character and color pop into the space. House framing is coming quick, and we need to account for lead time in the supply chain for the cabinets. Our goal is to have final selections no later than next week so we can ensure there isn't any delay.
