Foundation Work Has Begun!

Some good progress over the last couple of weeks. 

Our builder has started preparing for the foundation. They dug out the land and started constructing the foundation footers. This week, March 20th, we are expecting them to begin constructing the foundation walls, maybe even have them completed! *wink wink* After that comes the foundation pouring and letting that settle. There will most likely be an inspection from the city and county and from there comes framing! Then things will really get rolling.

Additionally, our builder has started ordering items for the house, to include our windows and garage doors.

On a surprising turn of events, we were informed that GE has put a production hold on gas cooktops across all GE lines. Seems like a supply chain issue and they are having challenges sourcing parts. Fortunately, we were informed that there is some residual inventory on other GE cooktops. We had to pivot and select a different gas cooktop; it will still get the job done.
